Hi. Palstic injection is when to parts of a mold come together and palstic is shaped. But what if my part needs some holes on a side. u cannot add it to the mold because the holes wont let the mold part come together

nope just put a solid tube through where the hole goes. the plastic will go around the tube forming a hole. Arrange the mould so tha the tube splits in the middle. Volia… part with a hole through it.

A ME doesnt belong in a tool room in a plastic injection house.
If you cant find a job at a OEM and you have to be at the “squirt house” you can design better tools . Remember multiple cavities, flow of coolant and ejection methods.
Most Plastic houses use unskilled workers to operate the presses so you must out guess what they will do, ( or NOT do…). Otherwise the next day you will have a truckload of bad parts and lose money. My experience is that short shots and such are not detected by operators that are focused on quotas of parts. start slow. Learn from the experienced toolmakers..Good Luck

Plastic is one of the most used materials in the manufacturing of toys, tools, and other consumer goods. It’s very name, ‘Plastic’, from the Greek ‘plastos’ refers to ‘molded’. It is clear that the material plastic’s real value lies in the ways in which it is used and Plastic Mold.
