A11 Orientaton Component of Long Glass Fiber in Center-Gated Disk Sprue
A11 orientation of an injection molding process in a center-gated disk. Material in 30 wt. % Long Glass Fiber in Polypropylene by SABIC. Calculations performed by C/MATLAB routines developed by K. Meyer of Polymer Processing Group @ Virginia Tech
Radium Technology Preview – Long Fiber Orientation Workflow
Autodesk® Moldflow® Insight Radium Technology Preview software ( download at www.autodesk.com ) calculates the orientation of long fibers in plastic materials. Customers are now able to accurately predict how plastic materials reinforced with long glass fibers will behave during the injection molding process as well as the effect of the fiber orientation on the product’s mechanical behavior and warpage.

a long sentence that i don’t understand?
Question by A translator: a long sentence that i don’t understand?
“Development of a transducer for in-line and through cycle monitoring
of key process and quality variables in injection molding”. the way the two prepositions (“for” and “by”) are combined confuses me. what does “in-line” mean? is it an adjective or a noun? can someone explain the whole sentence to me ?i am not a native english speaker. many thanks!
it is about a molding machine. mechanics.
oh! please help me to understand it! ican’t get away without understanding its meaning!

oh man i havent a clue what that sentence means.. what subject does it fall under? mechanics? idk. i can’t tell. this kind of sentence is kinda foreign subject matter to just any native english speaker, they might not understand it either. it helps to know what subject this falls under, and post it under that section..

development of a transducer = they need someone with experience they can train
for inline and through cycle monitoring = for a line in a factory/manufacturing process and doing a job on the machine from start to finish, likely repetitive
of key process and quality variables = of an important process in the manufacturing of whatever they make …basically it has to have good quality checks and be within specs
in injection molding = the machine that the process will be on and what you’re making is on an injection molding machine, likely plastic or foam
Basically they want someone with experience they can train for their job that will pay attention to quality and effort because the part you’re responsible to make is very important. Variably speaking it will be similar parts but with slight differences. Job will likely be repetitive and boring.
You’re likely making car parts or something that is a component for another larger product.

That paragraph looks like Japanese translated into English by a Japanese technical writer. It is hard to decipher but if you study it for a long time then it will start making sense when you start thinking like a Japanese person. Been there done that.

in line is a noun. i didn’t notice any combined for and by. when u use for it means smth is done for smb/smth and when u use by it means smth is done by someone
it was made FOR U
it was made BY u – 2 sentences have totally different meaning. and can’t u use a dictionary? oxford one is a very good one. i do not know what transducer is and i am too lazy now to go and look it up in a dictionary

This is a clumsy sentence which tries to put too much information into one sentence. It would be better split up into two or three sentences.
In a simplified form the sentence states :
“Development of a transducer for monitoring variables in injection-moulding”.
(Injection-moulding is a compound noun which requires a hyphen.)
“for” tells you what the purpose of the transducer is (“for monitoring variables”).
(I cannot see a preposition “by”)
What sort of variables does the transducer monitor ? — those variables which control the process and affect the quality of the product.
How does the transducer work ? — by monitoring the variables “in-line” (which means whilst the process is actually running) and by monitoring the variables “through-cycle” (which means from beginning to the end of the process – not just a part of it, but the whole process.)
“through-cycle” is a compound adjective, which should have a hyphen. It will have a particular meaning which applies to the particular process under discussion.
