I made this part a loooong time ago but never uploaded the video for some reason. oh well, consider it uploaded now… This is an item I use with my Helmet camera in all the action videos you can find on my channel. It’s taken many direct hits and stays in the fight, plus making helped to make the cleaning process much easier while off the field.

We recently completed a project that required automated insert molding, insert verification, and some assembly performed by an articulated arm 6 axis robot. Mold Description Four (4) – four cavity molds with locations for placement of washers for insert molding. 2 molds of 4 cavities x 3 washers per load (12 washers), 2 molds of 4 cavities x 6 washers (24 washers) per load. The Process Sequence Washer loader presents 4 cavities worth of washers to end of arm tool. Camera system for each workcell to verify mold conditions prior to a beam robot entering the mold to place washers into the tool for molding and overmold parts removal. Hands off overmolded parts to 6 axis articulated arm robot. Robot verifies presence of washers in overmolded parts. Feed foot pads for assembly by robot. Robot assembles foot pads into overmolds. Robot separates left hand and right hand parts (2 of each) and places the product on the conveyor.

This video shows a typical molded engine cover being robotically removed from the injection molding tool which was opened in the press after completing the molding cycle. The robot takes the cover to the operator who places the cover into the hot stamp decorating station. The embossed letters and numbers are decorated with a silver hot stamped film. The decorated cover and other components are then loaded into a fully error proofed assembly fixture. After approved assembly, the operator is allowed to load the finished part into the shipping container. The approval to pack is shown by a green light at the top of the box.

Also, how much is the average cost for a chin implant in the los angeles area… and do you recommend chin injections over regular plastic surgery? thanks

Question by Shwig: Painting tips needed on a plastic shroud cover on a small engine……?
I have a B&S small engine with a plastic shroud and I need tips on how to paint it properly. It is injection molded plastic, black and I am going to camo.

Is the surface smooth? If it is, rough it up with 80-grit sand paper. Clean the surface really well, and then wash prime, or use a self-etching primer, then regular primer. Sand with 180 initially and then reprime if necessary. You’ll want to finish sand with 400 grit. If it has a “bumpy surface,” you’re not going to be able to rough up the surface. After you do the priming, just use a scotchbrite pad to sand. I painted my truck last year, including the inside plastic molding, which had the bumpy surface, and the plastic windshield wiper arms, which had the smooth surface. Paint is still on there and looks good.
If it’s too close to the engine, it will burn off.
