Question by Michael: Can I injection mold PET into a one-piece snap-on case lid?
I am molding a computer case from a rigid plastic (ABS). Now I need a completely clear snap-on lid/screen protector. My question is: Can I injection mold PET into a one-piece snap-on case lid? I am a little familiar with the blow-molding process for soft drink bottles, but I am unfamiliar with how well PET performs as an injection molded resin and if I can mold it thin (.027″) over a 2.5″x4″ area for a screen protector.
If not, will polyethylene mold completely clear?

0,027 ” = 0.68 mm
Difficult for PET to fill.
Poly ethylene products are not very transparent.

TRY punching the product from sheet.
