Question by Jenny A: How is a Shampoo Bottle made?
This is for my tech homework. I need to find out how various types of plastic packagings are made and I want to find out how a shampoo bottle is made.

Is it something like vacuum forming, blow moulding or injection holding??

If it is not known how shampoo bottles are made, how are other forms of plastic packagings made??
Does anyone also know if I have have put this in the right category for Yahoo! Answers???

Question by Dave: Who would make a large plastic bottle?
I sell a paint product I put in small 2 oz bottles. For a trade show I want to have a jumbo replica of my product for a display. What kind of company would I approach do this sort of custom work? I’m not even sure what to look for in the Yellow Pages – plastic company? plastic molding? Injection molding?

Here is a list of some different injection molding companies, but I wonder if that would be too expensive, since a lot of the cost comes from the set-up (and you only want one). You should probably just call one or two to ask. You might also consider talking to a novelty manufacturer– the ones that do pens and stuff– to see if they would have any ideas.
