Low cost test bed machine that the “do-it-yourself’er” can build. This video shows us molding the Dipr. The Dipr is designed to be a two shot part/product, you can see this product complete at thedipr.com. This machine provids a means for making injection molded parts at a low cost and quickly, we are going to offer kits for building this and you can get details by 22APR11 at makeyourownstuff.org or by emailing me direct at rick@makeyourownstuff.org. If you have a small lathe or multipurpose machine (www.harborfreight.com we can help you convert it over to make plastic parts. Yes, I make the screw. It is important to understand injection pressure potential vs delivered. On conventional molding machines with a pressure potential of 30,000psi, its not uncommon to see parts packed out with 1,000psi. My screws are designed to be a pump, on screw injection machines like this one I can deliver 3-5,000psi depending on material.
