First you need to know what size or how much clamp tonnage you need. A small 50 to 100 ton machine used old from the 70s-80s could be anywhere from $5000 to $50,000 that size could fit in a 1 car garage. Newer machines are pricey where I work our latest 230 & 300 ton Van Dorn Demags cost around $375 to $400,000. There are used equipment suppliers
you can look into. You would have to build a die to produce your parts (mold) that would fit in your press. There are polymers to consider, ABS, a common material is hygroscopic,
requires being dried prior to processing and others such as nylon have affinity for moisture, whereas polypropylene or polyethylene do not they are crystallines. Moisture in plastic turns to steam when processed- splay forms on parts
a defect. (all thermoplastic not thermoset) Mold temps need kept in line press side thermolators warm or cool the die however you set to aid the process. Grinders are needed to granulate scrap, mix regrind into your virgin material say 25%, good regrind = $
    in this business.
