Look people, you can’t impose U.S. legality and Capitalist ideas for China. During the industrial Revolution, all U.S. companies exploited the peasent workers next to nothing. People such as Rockefellar, J.P. Morgan and hosts of other top executives had slaves at their disposal. These ideas came from Rome which came from Egypt. For crying out loud, the chinese came to the U.S. only to find work putting dynamite into Rocks and blowing up earth to build the railway system.
From the looks of the tool shop, with molds on the floor, personal without eye protection, working on the molds with regular clothing, parts scattered on the tables, the looks of the molding machines, i would not want products from this in my factory! Portuguese molds are still the bests I’ve seen, but its only a matter of time the chinese pick up!
Are you saying that apple doesn’t use chinese manufacturing? the vast majority of apple products are manufactured by foxconn. china’s largest electronics manufacturer.
so I gotta ask: did that place actually BUY the software???
moraine park community college in wisconsin is training toolmakers. it doesn’t have to be a dying art. it is because america regulated and taxed its way out of competition. not saying we should burn the safety glasses, but stupid regs made to destroy our manufacturing base have worked too well. can it be done right, cost effective and safe? yes. can china do it? dont see how.
yeah….. lets see them make computer molds for Apple
@ohnoitsryan Who are your suppliers if I may ask ? You can PM me if you want. Thanks !
This is a great piece of propaganda.
In the real world most American companies are bound by ISO-9000/TS1649 not to mention OHSAA and copyrights.
It looks like they were making a “knockoff” handwheel for a Series 1 bridgeport mill quill feed.
Nice…. how all the CNC workers and polishers had no safety glasses….thats OK just get another one if he gets hurt.
Hydraulic Interlock and drop bar. Mold will not close until door closes. Same process as I work in the states.
@oscarek08
thats actually ok
i am a toolmaker and we have johns machines that allow the door to open while the die is still shut.
it has a minimum of 2 hydraulic interlocks,one for pressurisation and one for impulse.
but some of the other machines like boy or battenfeld
have 5 interlocks,some hydraulic,some electric.
There are great injection mold designers here in Canada. And they can make more than plastic toys.
The mold will not close until she closes the door though. That’s where the real danger is. I suspect the worker knows from experience how hot the mold can get and doesn’t try to get too close.
No safety guards on doors! This lady opened door when tool was still closed.Health and safety does not existing there!!!
Q = Does it get the job done?
A = Yes
No contest.
Ya..Cant have anything but respect for the Chinese worker-
the worlds best toolmakers are british. unfortunately, toolmakers in britain are valued at about the same price as shelf stackers. to learn to mill , turn ,cylindrical grind , surface grind, screwcut, benchfit, polish , hydraulics, tooling design, side core ,split line etc takes YEARS to learn. to put a tin of beans on a shelf takes ten seconds to learn. both jobs have the same values in the uk.
mould = very expensive
production = extremely cheap
The China Quotes directory is a great source for people looking to find injection moulders in China
My typos are shocking….proof read Joyriser
Thats Can’t compete and in the comment before its spelt Healthy.
We Can’t compete with people on $10 a day simply because we have a higher cost of living….food mortgage/rent etc
One day there will be a backlash over all this and unemployment is already rising in China as we order less. Because we have got less money due to unemployment and hard times.
Yes I was in a job then overnight they said bye bye we are moving to China.
End Of job! There are 22 million people unemployed in Europe. All the bananas telling me its a Global economy need to wake up because they dont understand whats going on. My rent alone means I can compete with someone in the far east.
Thats why we have been conned in the west. The UK is bankrupt and unemployment is rising sharply. Thats just the figures they give! We hardly make anything anymore. All imported!
Very true. We’ve really felt it hard too here in the US the amounts of jobs available is small and people are unemployed for long periods of time. We need some big changes.
Yep I totally agree with what you are saying but the thing is none of them should be allowed to outsource for cheap slave labour. Yes If one does it they all have to do it. So we all buy X boxes, gizmos and clothing from China. They build up a heathly manufacturing base and we end up like Ghost towns. Its all very well getting things a bit cheaper but at what real cost? Mass unemployment in The US/UK then less money to spend on all these things.
@Joyriser Big problem is that if some companies don’t outsource labor, they will go out of business. Everything is all screwed up in our US economy. Take for example Lego, who is the 6th largest toy manufacturer and had toys being made in the US for a long time. They lost money for 2 years and were almost out of business and had to resort to moving labor to Mexico along with other business decisions and cuts to save the company. Lego is a great educational toy too! It’s a catch 22.
my boss would kick my ass so hard if i would work like this
very tough productive people …keep on
