Injection moulding is a manufacturing technique for making parts from thermoplastic material in production. It is the most efficient techique. No cheaper technique exists for this job.

Because it has been a suitable process to have made countless of similar plastic parts.
There are several methods to process plastics. Extrusion, blow moulding and injection moulding are the more common ones. Extrusion is usually used to produce profiles that are continuous while blow moulding is used in the manufacture of bottles. These 2 methods are not suitable for making DVD cases. Hence injection moulding is the best choice.
